1/1/07 - In November, the AURS sent Washington
University in St. Louis student Kristi Nigh to the national SSSS
conference to present her research on how human behavioral studies in
the academic setting might change if education became more
liberalized.
1/1/07 - The AURS
sponsored Washington University in St. Louis student Amir Francois to
present a poster at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for
Minority Students (ABRCMS). The conference, held in Anaheim,
California from November 8-11, 2006, was comprised of scientific
sessions, professional development workshops, student oral and poster
presentations, and exhibits. The ABRCMS is the largest,
multidisciplinary conference for biomedical and behavioral sciences

11/25/06 - AURS member
Carlyn Tan from the Chicago region was a finalist in the national
McKnight Prize in Chemistry. The Frank and Sara McKnight Prize
in Undergraduate Chemistry was instituted to promote undergraduate
research in chemistry through recognition of outstanding
accomplishment. Twelve finalists, including Carlyn, were chosen
from more than 100 undergraduates representing 85 universities and
colleges and 28 states. The finalists traveled to New Braunfels
for a retreat and to present poster presentations of their work.
